Education: MBA from The Wharton School-University of Pennsylvania, B.S in Physics and Minor in Engineering from Oakland University.

Background: John began his real estate development career in 1992 for United Airlines working on numerous large commercial projects including the development of luxury airport customer lounges. In 1994 John was appointed company-wide manager of Capital Improvements and was involved in the development and construction of a $523 million maintenance facility in Indianapolis. John began residential construction in 1997 to bring superior homes to Chicago. In 2003, John expanded Savane to include full design services in order to build and deliver complete “custom” homes for clients from a clean sheet of paper to final move-in. As the son of an architect, John was inspired to pursue design and construction. John also enjoys sailing and playing in a jazz group on weekends.

Position: Chief Architect and Senior Project Manager

Education: Master’s in Architecture from Tulane University

Background: At Savane, Chris has been deeply involved in helping clients realize their dream homes. With close collaboration, he brings his design expertise and inspiration together with our client’s desires to create a stunning home. Prior to joining Savane in 2005, Chris previously worked as a project architect for Holabird & Root, LLP and as a Project Manager for Sullivan Goulette. At Sullivan Goulette, Chris was deeply involved in the code/zoning research, planning/design, construction documents and client/consultant coordination for single family and multi-unit residential designs. He also was involved in the design of a 100,000 sq ft educational facility at Western Michigan University, residential and commercial development as well as code/zoning research, planning/design, construction documents and client/consultant coordination. Chris enjoys playing soccer on the weekends.

Position: Sr. Project Manager

Education: B.S. Education from University of Wisconsin

Background: Nine years of experience previously as a frame and trim carpenter building single family homes and performing renovations for companies such as Lazzaronin Builders. Scott enjoys coaching a Rugby team on the weekends.

Position: Project Assistant

Education: B.S. in Business Management, DePaul University Background: 6 years experience framing/trim with such companies as Zimmerman Builers. Worked through college as an independant handyman/remodeler doing a wide variety of work, including kitchens, bathrooms,etc. Dan enjoys playing Rugby on the weekends.

Position: Office Manager

Education: B.A. Business Administration / Accounting from De Paul University

Background: Kelly has worked for numerous commercial property development/management companies in the Chicago area. Kelly provides all project accounting for the company.

Education: Harrington Institute of Interior Design

Background: Hillary began her design career in 1998, joining Nate Berkus Associates. During her six years with Nate Berkus Associates, she developed a sensibility for sophisticated, yet understated interiors. Hillery carried this design aesthetic to the successful partnership Elston & Estes Interiors in 2004. Today, as principal of Estes Interiors, Hillery continues to meld together a variety of styles and periods into comfortable and inviting homes for her clients. Her subtle details and soothing color palettes make for quiet and sophisticated yet visually stunning interiors.
